Can the control room tech choose to mute his or her conversation?

Yes.  Headsets are equipped with a mute switch between the headset cable and headset coil cord (older models use a foot switch). Desk mics are equipped with a push-to-talk switch.

Do doctors or nurses in the procedure room have to wear or touch any devices?

No.  The microphone in the procedure room is typically located in the bezel region of a display monitor.  Audio from the control room is provided via separate communication and stereo speakers from the control room.

How long does the system take to install?

Two people can usually install the system in three to four hours.

What is the console footprint:
